Discussions About Twenty Set… and Other Randomness

Last week I wrote about my workaholic tendencies and how I needed to relax – so I spent this past weekend doing just that.  As such, I don’t have anything original for today, but I do have a few links to share of people buzzing about recent articles on Twenty Set:

  • Water Cooler Wisdom – Recession-Proof Your Life - Alexandra Levit wrote some very kind things about Twenty Set and my article about the economic recession.  Thanks Alexandra!
  • The Jenson – Energy - Jennifer Robinson is a business blogger who talks about my article on negative energy.  She brings up some great points about how writing in a “negative” tone can be effective for some bloggers.  To me this is sarcasm, which is funny if done well, but not funny if it offends people.  Thanks Jennifer!

Housekeeping at Twenty Set

This isn’t a huge change, but I added a way to subscribe to comments for each post.  You’ll find it at the bottom of the page where you would normally comment.  I do reply to every comment, but it might be a few days after the fact – by subscribing you will get my response in your email.

If you are interested in my weekend, keep reading.

I hung out with my husband, which is a rare occasion these days because he spends most of his time studying to be a doctor.  We watched South Park and Jackass and played Rock Band/Guitar Hero at Best Buy.  We also bought a new camera to replace the one we left in a Chicago taxi on Halloween.

Tangent, skip if you hate football.

We also went to a superbowl party at my boss’ house, where everyone seemed to be rooting for the underdog, the Giants, simply because nobody in Chicago cares about east-coast teams anyway.  It was funny when the Giants actually won - then everyone was shocked and disappointed about the Patriots undefeated record.  I didn’t think the Giants would win, but overall they deserved to – Eli Manning made some incredible throws and the Giant’s defense was on a roll with sacks.  The Giants seemed to want the win more – the Patriots were a little too complacent with their undefeated position.  Overall an interesting game, but hopefully we’ll see the Colts out there next year!

Introduce Yourself!

I haven’t had a chance to connect with everyone who reads Twenty Set, so now is your chance.  Please introduce yourself in the comments section.  I would love to learn more about each of you!

Aloha Monica,

My name is Chris and I have a blog/site on my attempts to be an affiliate marketer as well as some personal ramblings. Got a couple of sites/apps in the queue that I hope to launch real soon.

Love your blog and some of you insights. Keep up a good work!

Chris

Chris,

Welcome! I looked at your website and I think what you are trying to do is pretty cool. I dabbled in the “Make Money Online” type business for a few months and got up to a few hundred bucks in earnings per month. Good luck with your upcoming launches! Let me know how things go.
