While these are not particularly my main interests at the moment, I think this is a very practical and useful post for anyone that might be interested. Good job Monica.

Thanks for writing this. I think the transition in this article, from your story to product pitching, is not so smooth, but your blog have other worthy posts for me :-)

Good luck Monica!

Thanks for the comment. I think it's important that the transition is not smooth – I want to be sure that everyone knows, “Hey, this is a shift from free ideas to a promotion for my friends.” Without actually typing those words, because that is distracting and would also just be an insult to everyone's intelligence when there are banner ads embedded in the post.

I'm glad you find the rest of my blog worthy also!

Hi Monica, I hope we can get a lot of people fired up about entrepreneurship and help some Gen Yers get their businesses started.

Glad we are on the same mission!

The learning everyone can do this week: Practice communicating. Work on public speaking, writing, relationship building. What you push people to do with social media makes this happen, and it will make every part of their lives better. Love what you're doing.

Thanks for the mention Monica. I agree that its all about the learning process. Very few success stories were overnighters. %99 of them simply worked hard, overcame failure and never stopped learning.

A truly wise person knows they can never know everything they need to know. I believe that one of the most important qualities of an entrepreneur is the desire to always be learning.

Thanks Stuart! If you have any questions let me know. Monica did a great job of breaking it down and still killing it with value.

Educating yourself is a vital step towards getting where you want to go, but also knowing when the learning needs to stop and the actions need to start is a valuable lesson as well.

I wish this was something I had when I was an undergrad. I had to find out all this stuff the hard way through trial and error. Kids nowadays are spoiled! :P

And I thought I was doing a lot of things Mon. You've probably done more self studying than me! How is your company going?

Agreed. There is a fine balance between learning and executing.

Pretty good I think. Nowhere near where I want it to be – I think that must be a trait of entrepreneurs too – always pushing for more.

This is a great topic and an even better referral to a couple authentic, valuable products. I'm pumped for the Under 30 Rockstar Business Series, and although I've not tried Teaching Sells, you can't argue with the results they are having and the clients are seeing. Inspiring stuff.

A lot of people think they are '' too young '' to start own business and parnets usually expect a doctor, lawyer…

A film named ''The YES Movie'' told stories of today young entrepreneurs , they listened to their heart and go for what they want.
